Aim and content
This course is free of charge for PhD students at Danish universities (except Copenhagen Business School). Special rules apply for research year students enrolled at Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at UCPH. All other participants must pay the course fee.
Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student, you will be placed on the waiting list for the course until enrollment deadline. After the deadline of enrollment, available seats will be allocated to students on the waiting list.
With the designation “The Hallmarks of Cancer”, the course in Tumor Biology provides a broad coverage of the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in carcinogenesis, cancer progression and cancer treatment. On a research-based background, this two-week course addresses several aspects of these widely accepted hallmarks covered by active researchers in the field. In addition, various research strategies and technical issues will be presented, along with examples from active research projects. Finally, emphasis will be given to the connection between molecular cancer research and novel developments within targeted cancer therapy and personalized medicine.

Participants. 25 PhD students. If the course is not fully booked by PhD students, it will be open to Master students.
