Content
This course builds on English for Researchers: Writing Level 1 where you will have got a good idea about what is needed to write successfully. Level 2 elaborates the points from Level 1 and focuses on how to make your writing more arresting, fluent and readable. Tricky grammatical points and punctuation will be taken up along with extensive vocabulary-building exercises. Letter and email writing will also be covered. Participants will have the opportunity to work with their own manuscripts and receiving individual feedback.
Participants
PhD students currently working on a paper or who have some experience of writing papers. English for Researchers: Writing level 1 is preferable before this course but not mandatory.
NB to gain the most from the two courses, leave a few months between Level 1 and Level 2.
