Content
The summer course for experienced microscopists comprises theory and show-cases on selected topics, such as Fluorescence Lifetime, Super Resolution and High Throughput Microscopy as well as high speed live and spectral imaging. Internationally outstanding experts will give key notes on these topics. It will be possible for the students to bring their own specimens, if suitable for the chosen techniques and agreed upon (please indicate your interest at the latest end of May). Part of the summer course is the 8th Bioimaging Workshop Copenhagen with opportunity to present posters or talks.

Formel requirements
Students interested in the course are requested to apply with a short motivation and, when accepted, to give a short presentation of their research project and make an oral presentation or a poster at the Bioimaging Workshop.

Learning outcome
Participants will learn the theory behind advanced microscopy techniques and how to utilize their full potential from internationally outstanding experts that will be part of the course. In addition there will be a session on image processing and analysis.

Target group
PhD students within Life Sciences

Teaching and learning methods
Keynote lectures given by internationally outstanding experts, lectures, show-cases at the instruments, flipped classroom for image processing and analysis and preparation of an abstract for the workshop
