Exam details Written assignments combined with 2-4 in-class oral presentations (depending on the number of participants). The written assignments are weighted the same as the in-class oral presentations together, and the course performance is assessed as a whole.

Exam re-examination30 minutes oral exam with 30 minutes preparation time. All aids allowed during the preparation time and no aids allowed during the examination. Several internal examiners

Content
We will cover various topics in contemporary algebraic topology, such as stable homotopy theory, unstable homotopy theory, equivariant methods, or geometric questions, with the precise content depending on the interests of the participants.

Formal requirements
Academic qualifications: AlgTop2. Preferably also CatTop.

Learning outcome
  • Knowledge: To display knowledge of the course topics and content, at the level of a beginning researcher.

  • Skills: To be able to use the acquired knowledge to perform computations.

  • Competencies: To be able to produce independent proofs in extension of the acquired knowledge.


Teaching and learning methods
4 hours of lectures and 3 hours of exercises for 9 weeks.
