Aim and content
This course is free of charge for PhD students at Danish universities (except Copenhagen Business School), and for PhD Students from NorDoc member universities. All other participants must pay the course fee.
Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student at a Danish university, you will be placed on the waiting list until enrollment deadline. This also applies to PhD students from NorDoc member universities. After the enrollment deadline, available seats will be allocated to applicants on the waiting list.
Learning objectives
A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:
1. Understand how a pandemic arises
2. Understand how you monitor a pandemic
3. Know about the treatment at the bedside during covid-19
4. Learn about what immunity is relevant for respiratory infections
5. Learn about vaccines to prevent or minimize a pandemic
Content
The theme for this year’s meeting is Covid-19. A series of national and international speakers will take you true all the topics related to a pandemic.
How does a pandemic arise?
How do you monitor a pandemic?
What is the treatment at the bedside?
What immunity is relevant for respiratory infections? How can vaccine prevent or minimize a pandemic?
Beside of presentation by invited speakers a series of students will be selected for shorter presentations, and all students are anticipated to bring a poster, covering their research project, an organized poster session will be arranged.
The meeting takes place at Konventium in Elsinore. You are on you own for travel, but accommodation will be taken care of. Once people are selected as participants, a new round of signing up will be opened to cover your dietary needs, and accommodation.

Seats to PhD students from other Danish universities will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and according to the applicable rules. Applications from other participants will be considered after the last day of enrolment.

All applicants are asked to submit invoice details in case of no-show, late cancellation or obligation to pay the course fee (typically non-PhD students). If you are a PhD student, your participation in the course must be in agreement with your principal supervisor.
