Aim and content
Content
The Ph.D.-course is intended for organic chemists pursuing a career in medicinal chemestry (advanced drug-design). By means of a diverse teaching enviroment (lectures, computer sessions and problem solving), the participants will advance their ability to suggest reasonable synthetic reaction mechanisms, and assess the probability of such. Furthermore, to develop a profound insight into a molecule/intermediate's physical organic chemical properties adressing its 3D-conformation and this influence on reactivity. All topics will be correlated to ligand-protein binding to advance the capability of predicting such (advance drug-design).
Dates:
5 two-day modules: 26+27. September; 10+11. October; 31. October + 1. November; 15+18 November and 28+29. November 2013.
