Content
Subject area: Chemistry - from quantum chemistry, spectroscopy to organic synthesis.
Scientific content: Quantum chemistry, spectroscopy, organic synthesis.
Topics include: Photochemistry, photophysics, spectroscopic methods, capture of solar energy, molecular design of devices, energy storage, electron transport and energy transfer mechanisms, molecular dynamics, bioinspired constructs, artificial photosynthesis, intermolecular interactions, photon up-conversion .
Preparation: Articles and student presentations.
Self-study: Articles.
Learning outcome
Tools for how to exploit solar energy and how to control chemical reactions.
