Learning objectivesA student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:1. Introduce PhD students to the many aspects of diabetes and molecular metabolism2. Introduce the members of the Danish Diabetes Academy to each other, thus creating a good opportunity for networking3. Give the PhD students a chance to present their work ContentThis year the following topics will be covered:• Obesity and weight regulation• Mitochondria: pro-con debate• Stratification and prevention of diabetes• Type 1 diabetes and complications• MetabolismAdditionally, you will be introduced to a challenge/ case story on day 1, which you will be asked to discuss in predefined groups, there will be held interactive workshops, poster sessions, student presentations and there will be plenty of time to network with fellow researchers.ParticipantsThe course is directed at PhD students in molecular metabolism, diabetes, endocrinology, cardiology and higher physician training, as a postgraduate segment towards their PhD degree.
