Aim and content This course is free of charge for PhD students at Danish universities (except Copenhagen Business School). Special rules apply for research year students enrolled at Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at UCPH. All other participants must pay the course fee. Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student, you will be placed on the waiting list for the course until enrollment deadline. After the deadline of enrollment, available seats will be allocated to students on the waiting list. Course title SCAN - Schedules for Clinical Assessment in Neuropsychiatry Learning objectives A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to: 1. Conduct the diagnostic interview SCAN 2. Evaluate presence and severity of a wide range of psychopathological phenomena 3. Administrate the electronic version of the interview Content The aim of the course is to teach the participants to use the SCAN (Schedules for Clinical Assessment in Neuropsychiatry). SCAN is developed in WHO and can be used for diagnostic of mental disorders in ICD-10 and DSM-IV. SCAN is a semistructured interview with propes for each item and a glossary in which there is an explanation for each questions. During the course all parts of the SCAN interview will be used, and each participant will perform at least one interview under supervision and watch other interviews. The course contains theoretical education about psychopathology and interrater reliability. Participants Ph.D-students in psychiatry and clinicians can participate.
