This is a generic course. This means that the course is reserved for PhD students at the Graduate School of Health and Medical Sciences at UCPH. Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student at the Graduate School, you will be placed on the waiting list until enrollment deadline. After the enrolment deadline, available seats will be allocated to the waiting list.

The course is free of charge for PhD students at Danish universities (except Copenhagen Business School). All other participants must pay the course fee.

Learning objectives
A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:
1. Plan the final stage of the PhD project.
2. Learn methods to keep motivation up and procrastination down.
3. Use the Business Model You® approach to envision the next career steps.
4. Understand the importance of networking.

Content
In this training, you will learn methods to plan the final stage of your research project. These emphasize keeping motivation up, dealing with potential conflicts, focusing on the right priorities, and avoiding procrastination.

You will learn to use the Business Model You® approach. This model helps you to clarify your interests, skills, own values, and abilities. You then can assess your value to potential employers. With this model in hand, you can plan your next career steps.

One of the most important factors to find the next job in science is networking. Part of the training will deal with this topic on different levels. You will asses your current network. You will work on strategies to expand your network. And you will be part of a group of peer students who you can rely on and network with.

At the end of the training you will have a detailed working plan for achieving the last milestones in your PhD project, and a clearer vision of the next career step.
