Please register before 1st of March, 2019 through this link and not by usind the 'apply' button above.
This course is free of charge for PhD students at Danish universities (except Copenhagen Business School), and for PhD students at graduate schools in the other Nordic countries. All other participants must pay the course fee.
Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student, you will be placed on the waiting list for the course until enrollment deadline. After the deadline of enrollment, available seats will be allocated to students on the waiting list.

GRASPH Summer School 2019
Learning objectives
A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:
a. Present and discuss their findings
b. Provide relevant feedback on scientific projects within public health science
c. Familiarize themselves with upcoming public health topics
Content
The lectures will cover both general issues regarding the PhD study as well as specific disciplinary subjects, for instance methodological problems in public health research. Participants
PhD students from the Graduate Program in Public Health & Epidemiology or other PhD students within public health. The meeting is open for students from SDU, AAU and AU. Supervisors from the before mentioned universities as well as KU will also be invited.

Form
Mixture of group sessions, thematic workshops and plenary lectures.
As a preparation for the group sessions, PhD students will be asked to forward an abstract on a relevant problem in relation to their project approx. one and a half month before the meeting. At the meeting, each participant will give a presentation of their chosen subject, and a selected supervisor (not their own) and other participants will give feedback on the presentation.

Admission to PhD students from Danish universities will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and according to the rules in force.
Applications from other participants will be considered after the last day of enrollment.
Participants from countries outside the NorDoc cooperation must pay a fee of 2,000 DKK to cover accommodation and food.

Note: All applicants are asked to submit invoice details in case of no-show, late cancellation or obligation to pay the course fee (typically non-PhD students). If you are a PhD student, your participation in the course must be in agreement with your principal supervisor.
