Aim and content
This is a generic course. This means that the course is reserved for PhD students at the Graduate School of Health and Medical Sciences at UCPH. Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student at the Graduate School, you will be placed on the waiting list until enrollment deadline. After the enrolment deadline, available seats will be allocated to the waiting list.
The course is free of charge for PhD students at Danish universities (except Copenhagen Business School), and for PhD students at graduate schools in the other Nordic countries. All other participants must pay the course fee.

One day introduction to REDCap

Learning objectives
A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:

1. Understand the functionalities of REDCap - what it can and cannot do.
2. Setup instruments, surveys and define events for their study in REDCap.
3. Setup randomization and user rights.
4. Test their database and move it to production.
5. Import and Export data and create reports

Content
The course is a practical hands-on walkthrough of the REDCap datamangement system. The primary goals are to to construct surveys and instruments with branching logic and data validation.
Create dynamic reports to assess data during data collection and manage users and their access to data, as well as keep track of data quality while study is underway. Import and export data into Redcap into statistical analysis software (STATA, SPSS, R, SAS).

Participants
The course is intended for PhDs within RegionH or from KU, involved in clinical research using REDCap as their data management system and are involved in design, construction and management of schemes and collection of research data.
