Aim and content


Learning objectives
A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:

1. Ability to identify commercial potential in basic research

2. Understand the steps and processes in the commercialization process

3. Learn how to pitch a project

4. Gain insight in how to start a business


Content
The 2-day Commercialization of research course is designed to give the participants a quick overview of how to commercialize basic research. Additionally, it will give the participants an overview of the steps when going from basic research to forming a company. The course will consist of lectures and group-work The content in the Commercialization of Research course will cover translational research, commercialization, pitching and team work.


Participants
PhD students at all levels can participate. No further experience or qualifications are required.
