Aim and content
This course is free of charge for PhD students at Danish universities (except Copenhagen Business School), and for PhD students at graduate schools in the other Nordic countries. All other participants must pay the course fee.
Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student at a Danish university or Nordic countries, you will be placed on the waiting list until enrollment deadline. After the enrollment deadline, available seats will be allocated to applicants on the waiting list.
Content
The course is the perfect media training for researchers. The participants have a unique opportunity to learn how research, communication and media can work together – without compromising the objectivity of the research. The participants learn to translate their research into a format that everyone can understand. They learn to stand up and communicate their research, a competency that, when mastered, gives a valuable lead in all communication contexts.
Media School for PhD students in health and medical sciences takes place over three sessions:
Session1: Learn about the media landscape and how to use your voice and body when communicating live
Session2: About the good text and learn how to become an expert in the digital media landscape
Session3: Get the courage to participate in the public debate and discover the good story in your scientific findings – and learn how to write it.
