Aim and content
This course is free of charge for PhD students at Danish universities (except Copenhagen Business School), and for PhD students at graduate schools in the other Nordic countries. All other participants must pay the course fee.
Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student at a Danish university, you will be placed on the waiting list until enrollment deadline. This also applies to PhD students from Nordic countries. After the enrollment deadline, available seats will be allocated to applicants on the waiting list.

Learning objectives
A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:

1.Practice his/her presentation skills to a peered audience either by presenting a poster (1+2nd year students ) or an oral presentation (3rd year students) to other students and supervisors from the programme
2.Get insight in different Career paths and choices to be made with regards to finishing their PhD and getting a job
3.Acquire knowledge of molecular mechanisms of disease and extend their scientific network

The Aim of the course is to stimulate networking between students and supervisors in MoMeD and to introduce MoMeD students to career options after finishing their PhD, by inviting former Momed students to tell about their career choices. The summer school further gives the students a chance to present their work and get feedback from peers in a “safe” environment.
The MoMeD Summer School 2021 will feature scientific presentations in the area of molecular mechanisms of disease performed by the participating students as either talks or poster presentations. In addition, a session will provide information on different scientific career paths, and how to describe personal and scientific competencies. In addition, contemporary methods and technologies within this research area will be discussed in a series of workshops.

Momed students – the course is mandatory and part of the curriculum in MoMed
