Content
Following the general, nationwide discussion on harassment and specifically the situation at Universities, the Graduate School would like to invite PhD students to a workshop on the topic.
Harassment is a complex matter that needs to be addressed. Not only because of #meetoo; harassment has never been legal.
In this workshop, rooted in the work of the PhD Study Board, we would like to explore the complexity of the topic and provide concrete guidelines.
Head of PhD Study Board, Nicole Schmitt, will introduce you to the background and purpose of the workshop.
Chief psychologist Camilla Holst, Prescriba, will explain about harassment – between law, ethics and culture. The presentation will dive into both complexity and solutions and use case material in order to do so:
- How does harassment affect our working life, and how do we address it?
- What is the ethical code, and what is the law concerning harassment?
- When does harassment break the ethical code and become part of the culture?
- How can we use the law, culture and code of ethics to protect against harassment?
Jasper Gjerløff Lorentzen, occupational health and safety consultant, HR, UCPH will explain the guidelines at UCPH concerning harassment; where to report and what to expect.
Finally, Nicole Schmitt will facilitate a Q&A session and highlight the take home messages.
There will be time for group debate and Q&A in plenum. We hope that you will join us in order to get answers to your questions and concerns.
