Aim and content
Seats for this course are reserved for PhD students at the Graduate School of Health and Medical Sciences at UCPH.
Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student at the Graduate School, you will be placed on the waiting list until enrollment deadline. After the enrolment deadline, available seats will be allocated to the waiting list.
The course is free of charge for PhD students at Danish universities (except Copenhagen Business School), and for PhD students at NorDoc member faculties. All other participants must pay the course fee.
Special rules apply for this course
The course is mandatory for PhD students enrolled in the Graduate Programme Clinical Cancer Research.
This means that all applicants will be put on the waiting list upon registration, and after deadline all participants will be notified whether they are given a seat.
Learning objectives
A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:
Have knowledge of research within a broad area of cancer related topics:
1. Cancer epidemiology, databases and biobanks
2. Clinical trials – design, response evaluation, regulatory issues and data safety
3. Cancer research areas such as biomarkers, immunotherapy and personal medicine
4. Research ethics, palliation, survivorship and side effects
5. Imaging, radiotherapy and surgery
Content
The course will provide the students with extensive knowledge on regulatory and general scientific issues to carry out clinical cancer research.
