Aim and content Content and Aim: With the designation “The Hallmarks of Cancer”, the course in Tumor Biology provides a broad coverage of the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in carcinogenesis, cancer progression and cancer treatment. On a research-based background, this two-week course addresses several aspects of these widely accepted hallmarks covered by active researchers in the field. In addition, various research strategies and technical issues will be presented, along with examples from active research projects. Finally, emphasis will be given to the connection between molecular cancer research and novel developments within targeted cancer therapy and personalized medicine. Topics: The Hallmarks of cancer Participants. 20 PhD students. If the course is not fully booked by PhD students, it will be open to Master students. Language.
