Enrolment guidelines
This course is free of charge for PhD students at Danish universities (except Copenhagen Business School), and for PhD Students from NorDoc member faculties. All other participants must pay the course fee.
Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student at a Danish university, you will be placed on the waiting list until enrollment deadline. This also applies to PhD students from NorDoc member faculties.
After the enrollment deadline, available seats will be allocated to applicants on the waiting list.
Learning objectives
A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:
1. The student will gain knowledge on current thinking on development of frailty and important factors leading to and affecting development of frailty.
2. The students will train presentation of their data and studies and discuss this with faculty in a friendly atmosphere.
3. The students will gain knowledge on societal, clinical and individual challenges relating to frailty.
Content
The course will consist of 10 lectures from researchers from university of Copenhagen and three lectures from SDU, Örebro University and University of Castilla La-Mancha, that all have focus on ageing and frailty. The topics cover a vide span from basic molecular mechanisms to detection of physical and cognitive frailty in general practice, and lectures focusing on Societal challenges, e.g. economy, oral health, polypharmacy, Cognitive function and health care systems. In addition, PhD-students will present their own research and subsequently receive personalized feedback.

The course will consist of Lectures by senior researchers and external guests. In addition, the participating PhD-students will give a short oral presentation followed by questions.

Applications from other participants will be considered after the last day of enrolment.
Note: All applicants are asked to submit invoice details in case of no-show, late cancellation or obligation to pay the course fee (typically non-PhD students). If you are a PhD student, your participation in the course must be in agreement with your principal supervisor.
