Aim and content
This is a generic course. This means that the course is reserved for PhD students at the Graduate School of Health and Medical Sciences at UCPH. Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student at the Graduate School, you will be placed on the waiting list until enrollment deadline. After the enrolment deadline, available seats will be allocated to the waiting list.

The course is free of charge for PhD students at Danish universities (except Copenhagen Business School), and for PhD students at graduate schools in the other Nordic countries. All other participants must pay the course fee.

Special rules apply for this course
The course is mandatory for MoMeD/PCAP students. This means that all applicants will be put on the waiting list upon registration, and after deadline all participants will be notified.

Learning objectives
A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:

1. To Clarify the visons, goals and risk of the PhD project
2. To plan the PhD project using classical and agile approaches
3. To manage time and tasks efficiently

In this training, young scientist will learn how a scientific project is planned using classical and agile methods. They will clarify their motivation to start the scientific project. The students will establish their goals and envision the benefits of their project. They will analyse all potential stakeholders and assess possible risk they may encounter. Furthermore, they will learn to set priorities to manage themselves in an efficient way. At the end of the training they will have a detailed working map for achieving the next milestones.

Seats to PhD students from other Danish universities will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and according to the applicable rules.

Note: All applicants are asked to submit invoice details in case of no-show, late cancellation or obligation to pay the course fee (typically non-PhD students). If you are a PhD student, your participation in the course must be in agreement with your principal supervisor.
