Content
At this workshop you will learn how to design and draw scientific illustrations for your papers and posters with the free online service called BioRender.
BioRender is perfect for the job, since it has a ton of free stock illustrations that are free to use.

We will also look at some of the best places on the net to find scientific illustrations to use in your work, so you do not have to illustrate everything from scratch.

At the workshop you will be introduced to:
• The basic overview of the program
• How to find and modify remade content
• How to draw your own illustrations and how the tools work
• You will learn how to make your own illustrations, like a full Cell environment
• We look at how to make a Journal or a full poster with BioRender
• We teach you how to add text, arrows and symbols
• You will also learn how to add design elements and stock images from other programs like illustrator.
• We will provide you with links to some of the best websites that offer downloads of free illustrations to use in your work.
• You are more than welcome to bring some of your work. If there is time enough by the end of the training, you will be able to get some personal guidance regarding one of your own projects.
